LET GO AND LET GOD-PART 3
If the first step on the pathway to revival is repentance, the second step is complete trust in God! It is not enough to simply turn from sin, we must also turn to God. "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God." (quote from missionary Corrie Ten Boom)
Absolute trust in God was characteristic of the great champions of God. Often failure of others in the Bible was due to the lack of trust they had in God or His Word.
Wisdom from the Word-"For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts" Isaiah 55:8-9
Thank you Father that you carry our future and we can always trust You, in Jesus name. amen

LET GO AND LET GOD-PART 2
Trusting in God completely may not always be easy. Trust does not exit in a vacuum, it grows by constant choice and through the conflicts of life.
Years ago a military officer and his wife were aboard a ship that was caught in a raging ocean storm. Seeing the frantic look in her eyes, the man tried to allay her fears. Suddenly she grabbed his sleeve and cried, "How can you be so calm?" He stepped back a few feet and drew his sword. Pointing it at her heart, he said, "Are you afraid of this?" Without hesitation she answered, "Of course not!" "Why not?" He inquired. "Because the sword is in your hand, and you love me too much to hurt me." To this he replied, "I know the One who holds the winds and waters in the hollow of His hand, and he will surely care for us!" The officer was not disturbed because he had put his trust in the Lord.
Wisdom from the Word-"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 Life experience can shatter our trust in God-unless we make a decision to "have FAITH."
Ask God to show you evidence of his hand in your life. The knowledge that He directs and controls the circumstances in our life with him, from the largest challenge to the smallest details of our everyday life is comforting and gives us confidence. When I can trust Him: my life is more relaxed and joyful.
Learning to really trust God is an all or nothing principle. You're either going to fully trust Him with every area of your life or you aren't.
Father I am ready to let go and release to you every area known and unknown in my life to your care. Lead me, guide me, protect me, in Jesus name. amen. |

Let Go and Let God-IN GOD I TRUST
I see Jesus' last 3 years like someone running around a football field-sometimes walking, sometmes sprinting, sometimes running, then suddenly crawling as he crossed the finish line to win back our right to spend eternity with God. All legal requirements had been met, the Son Himself, came to earth to redeem us (all mankind) back to the Father.
Because of the finished work of Jesus we need to be led by faith not ruled by circumstances! God wants us to move to a wider place. Placing ALL HOPE in God knowing that God is in control allows us to wait patiently for him to rescue us. Relief does not come when the problem is resolved. True relief comes from an enduring hope in God's ultimate salvation. Psalm 62:1-2 "My soul rest in God alone. My salvation is from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress-I will never be greatly shaken."
Wisdom from the Word for Today- (John 11:26) "Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me. though he die, yet he lives."
No matter how much you have been hurt in your past, and no matter how many people have hurt you in your past-you must learn to completely trust God with yourself and your entire life.
Father, I confess I am in emotional pain, I entrust my life to you and trust you by faith, no longer will I be ruled by circumstances take my life past, present and future and make me whole again, in Jesus name, by His stripes I am healed, amen.

MOSES AND JESUS PLAYING GOLF
It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon when Moses, Jesus and another guy were out playing golf. On the first tee-box, Moses pulls out his driver and blisters a shot up the right side of the fairway, rolling fast towards a water hazard. Moses quickly raised his club, parting the water while his ball rolls through to the other side safely.
Next up on the tee, Jesus hits a really long drive right towards the very same water hazard. His ball came to rest dead center on the pond, hovering just over the surface of the water. Jesus casually walks out onto the pond, and chips it up onto the green within a couple feet of the flagstick.
Not impressed, the third guy steps up to the tee without taking any time and just randomly whacks at the ball. Rightfully so, the ball is hit with a nasty hook that clears the left OB markers and goes over a fence into oncoming traffic. It bounces off a truck's windshield hitting a nearby tree, bounces onto the roof of the greenkeeper's shed, back out onto the fairway and towards the same pond that Moses and Jesus hit. Before it gets wet, the ball ricochets off a small rock and bounces onto a lily pad, a bullfrong jumped up and ate the ball. Right at that moment, a bald eagle swoops down and grabs the frog, flying way. As it flew over the green, the frog sequeal with fright and drops the ball right next to the flagstick, taking one bounce and landing in the cup for an astounding hole in one.
Moses then turns to Jesus and says, "I hate playing with your Dad." |

THE FOLDED NAPKIN!
Early Easter Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and John. She said, "They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!" Simon Peter entered the tomb and noticed the linen graveclothes lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side. Was that important? In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand the Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not touch the table, until the master was finished...
If the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up the napkin and toss it on the table...
The servant would then know to clear the table. In those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm finished..." But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not touch the table, because...The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"
And So Jesus Shall...Come back again. (John 20:7) |
