RECEIVE THE GLORY...
The beauty of Spring is everywhere. It was nice yesterday my friend suggested we stop by the park to eat our brown bag lunch of fresh veggies. We watched a group of children throw handfuls of bread and cheerios to the ducks, turtles, and fish. A break in the day filled with a long must do list.
Wisdom from the Word-"Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16)
Thank you Father for helping me remember to take time for laughter and joy, in Jesus name, amen. "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy one, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed, and were created." (Revelation 4:11) |

HE HAS RISEN
Easter is my favorite holiday of the year. Not only does it celebrate the "Finished" work of our salvation thru the Lord Jesus Christ, but Easter marks Spring-new life, new beginnings.
The word that comes to mind is grace, then mercy. He has risen...He has risen indeed.
Wisdom from the Word-"The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw His glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of GRACE and truth." (John 1:14)
"But God, being rich in MERCY, for HIS great love with which he loved us...Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." (Ephesians 2:4, Hebrews 4:16)
Whenever I cry out to you, your love sends me grace and mercy because of ... your love... Father. |

IT IS DONE
The crowds cried out for the crucifixion of Jesus so Pilate sentenced him to death and Jesus went out bearing his cross to Golotha where they crucified Him with two other men, one on either side and Jesus in the middle. Standing at the foot of the cross of Jesus was His mother, his aunt Mary the wife of Clopas, Mary Magdalene and John the disciple He loved. Jesus seeing that all things were now complete bowed his head and died.
So that Jesus' body wouldn't remain on the cross on the Sabbath the soldiers pierced His side with a spear and the scripture was fulfilled..."They will look on him whom they pierce."
Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus received permission from Pilate to take Jesus' body away. Nicodemus came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes then they took Jesus' body and bound it in linen cloths with the spices and carefully laid Him in a new garden tomb near where He had been crucified.
Wisdom from the Word-"IT IS FINISHED" John 19:30.
Jesus had crossed the finish line to win back our right to spend eternity with God. All legal requirements had been met, the Son Himself came to earth to redeem us ( all mankind) back to the Father.
What a beautiful reason to celebrate-the funeral of death and destruction. IT IS FINISHED! |

TIMES UP
Jesus knew the time to return to His Father was near. After Jesus and his disciples had eaten supper He began to wash their feet, and dry them with a towel. Our Lord positioned Himself as a servant leader, humbling Himself also reminding the men that they were to walk in peace (in order to withstand the adversity in life we must depend on God to give us strength).
Wisdom from the Word-"I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me (Jesus speaking to the disciples)" John 13:20.
When Jesus prays to the Father for himself He reveals (1) His purpose for coming to earth...man's eternal salvation-"You granted him (Jesus) authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him" John 17:2. Then He prays to the Father for His Disciples He commissions them to be used "in" the world (2) His release is to protect and sanctify them for service in the field...-"As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world" (john 17:18). Finally Jesus prays for future believers He blesses them (3) His desire is that they would be unified...-"I (Jesus) have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as We-The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one" John 17:22. |

DELIVERANCE THRU SALVATION
Testimony #2 of healing and deliverance...from What Stops You Blocks You - seminar...Ms. A-shared that she had seen her father murdered at age 5. Her mom unable to care for her family took her young daughter and son to their Grandmother's and left them. Ms. A remembers her step-grandfather beating her grandmother. Life was tuff for these two small children impacted by violence, fear , anger, abandonment and abuse. No wonder abuse became part of Mrs. A's identity. As an adult she reenacted her violent lifestyle in a relationship with a policeman who beat her (but she had learned to fight back) and was a drug dealer, she became an addict, and was forced to sell drugs. When she was arrested,-her rehab center was the hard floor of a jail cell-cold turkey with horrible sweats and traumatic withdrawal from her drug of choice heroin. This lovely lady spoke clearly, delared her counselor tenacious-like a bull dog, that pressed into the power of God thru Jesus Christ to see deliverance and healing manifest. It is beautiful to see someone who has been so wounded to find peace, rest, a sound mind and strength. Her testimony influences others to ask God for forgiveness and healing.
Wisdom from the Word-"...to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified." Isaiah 61:3
Father if there is someone today who relates to this testimony in their life. I ask that you hear their hearts cry for freedom from captivity in a lifestyle pattern of abuse, addiction, pain and suffering. I loose them from this pattern of life in Jesus name, I invite the Lord Jesus to come into their heart now and renew them. Forgive their sins and make them a new person-in God's image. I bind love, mercy and grace to them now in Jesus name. Amen. |
